Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes and has a primary goal of understanding individuals and groups through the establishment of general principles and the research of specific cases. As a bachelor of science in psychology degree student, some of my courses have the academic tasks that involve academic writings related to psychology such as the researching and writing of essays. Writing a reflecting or reflective essay is one of the essay writing tasks that we did and is relevant for my course because this particular essay subject seeks to explore a topic with the use of personal thought and experience. My reflecting essay writing task started when I was still in my first year during the first term so that I was still unfamiliar with the general writing style for academic essays
